How to Floss with Braces 🦷✨

Flossing with braces might take a little extra time, but it’s one of the best ways to keep your smile healthy during treatment 😄

Step 1: Start with the Right Tools

Helpful flossing tools include:

Orthodontic floss
Floss threaders
Super floss

Step 2: Thread the Floss

Carefully guide the floss under the main wire between two teeth using a floss threader or super floss.

Step 3: Floss Between Teeth

Gently move the floss up and down along both sides of each tooth in a “C” shape. Don’t snap the floss into your gums.

Step 4: Move to the Next Tooth

Remove the floss, re-thread under the wire, and repeat for each tooth.

Step 5: Rinse & Smile

Finish with water or mouthwash to wash away anything left behind ✨

Popped wire on vacation? Don't panic — here's exactly what to do. 👇
1. Don't pull the wire out. Leave it in place if you can.
2. Apply orthodontic wax over the end to prevent irritation.
3. Rinse with warm salt water if you have any soreness.
